General Director of Television channel “Rain” (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) Natalia Sindeeva (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) published a video in which she asked the fired journalist Alexei Korostelev, as well as employees who left their jobs in solidarity with him, to return to the television channel.
Sindeeva also apologized to her staff and viewers. During the filming of the video, she cried and called herself a “disgusting bastard”.
Korostelev was fired by the channel's management for sympathetic words on the air to the mobilized Russian. Four days passed from the time of his release until the video of Sindeev was shown.
After Korostelev started broadcasting, the TV channel lost its broadcasting license in Latvia and intends to get a license in another country.
