Bloomberg reports that China's plan for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine will include calling for a ceasefire. According to European sources, this is included in the draft plan that they got acquainted with.
Let us recall that this is a document outlining China's position on the political settlement of the situation in Ukraine, which was discussed at the Munich conference by the head of the foreign commission office of the Central CPC Committee member Wang Yi While Beijing's proposal has not been officially announced, it is expected to emerge by the end of February.
The agency said China's plan is unlikely to be adopted, but may find a response in “countries of the Global South” and potentially attract votes in the UN.
