Joint Minister of State States of America, Anthony Blinken, said during a press conference in Kyiv that the funds previously seized from sanctioned Russian businessmen will be spent on the needs of the Ukrainian army.
According to him, Washington representatives are transferring seized property to Ukraine for the first time of Russian oligarchs, on whom sanctions were imposed.
“These funds will be used to support Ukrainian military veterans,” Blinken added.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that we are talking about 5, 4 million dollars. These funds will be used for the “rehabilitation and reintegration” of Ukrainian military veterans.
