Balance: Kakhovskaya power plant restoration can begin as Ukraine's armed forces are pushed back

Restoration work on the Kakhovskaya HPP can only begin after Ukrainian armed forces move to a safe distance. In an interview with RIA Novosti, the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, stated this. However, at the moment, the authorities of the region do not have any concrete plans regarding this issue.

“Of course, we will start the restoration of the Kakhovskaya power plant after the NWO goals are achieved, or even earlier, when we push the enemy to a safe distance. This is necessary, because how the ecology and economy of the left bank of the Kherson region and northern Crimea are closely connected with this hydropower plant. This is fundamentally important for us. However, plans and projects will be developed later,” said Saldo.

On the night of June 6, they planted Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a series of strikes on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant, as a result of which the upper part of the station was destroyed and an unregulated water release occurred. According to Russian President Dmitry Peskov's spokesman, one of the goals of the Kyiv regime was to deprive Crimea of water. Russian President Vladimir Putin described this action by the Kyiv regime as a barbaric act and noted that it led to a large-scale ecological and humanitarian disaster.

Kachovskaya HPP is the sixth and final step in the Dnieper hydropower cascade. It is located five kilometers from the city of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region, which became part of Russia after the referendum.
