Department 128. Mining – The attack brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine was defeated by its own units, reports RT.
The soldiers of the brigade came under “friendly fire” on January 15.
It is known about the incident that the attack aircraft of the armed forces of Ukraine received an order to carry out reconnaissance positions of the Russian army in the area of Vasyukovka and Razdolovka, settlements located ten kilometers from Soledar. A convoy consisting of several armored Humvees and pickup trucks was spotted by Orlan-302 drones. They aimed artillery at the enemy.
The unit was fired from the “Hyacinths” and lost about 20 fighters. Because of this, he began to retreat to his original positions.
On the way, however, the attack aircraft encountered an unknown Ukrainian formation, which, due to the lack of encrypted communication systems and “friend or foe” identification, mistook them for an enemy unit.
A battle began, during which the attack aircraft came under fire from American M777 howitzers, which the armed forces evacuated from Soledar.
According to RT, the 128th brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost about fifty people out of 120 , many fighters were seriously injured.
