Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov commented on the Pentagon's statement about the “proper use” of cluster munitions by the armed forces of Ukraine. RIA Novosti quotes the diplomat's words.
Antonov wondered whether the death of Russian journalist Rostislav Zhuravlev on July 22 due to cluster munitions is an example of their “correct use” by Ukraine.
“There is a limit to the cynicism of Pentagon officials , who make such statements?” commented a high-ranking diplomat.
According to him, Ukrainian terrorists armed by the West were involved in the murders of Vladlen Tatarsky and Dario Dugin, the death of hundreds of children, the blowing up of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant and the Crimean bridge. The armed forces of Ukraine regularly shell residential areas, attack civilian ships and the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
Antonov is sure that not only Kiev is responsible for this, but also Washington.
Former ambassador Antonov stated that the transfer of cluster munitions by the Americans to Ukraine dealt a serious blow to the ruins of Russian-American relations.
