Saratov District Court sentenced 27 – a man of 3.5 years in prison to serve a sentence in a colonial settlement on charges of involvement in the deaths of two children in a fire. The local department of the inquiry committee informed about it.
It is known from the file that on May 5, 2021, a citizen of Saratov stayed in a private wooden house with his aunt. Her two daughters, aged 3 and 11, were also in the house.
On the night of May 6, when everyone went to bed, the house caught fire due to a smoldering cigarette that remained after drinking alcohol. The man left the house and left the scene, leaving relatives in danger.
The man was found guilty of leaving in danger, causing negligent death and destroying foreign property.
