Speech at the opening of at Moscow's Primakov Readings, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that many of the former constants of international relations are now being tested for strength. In particular, we are talking about the formation of a new multipolar world order.
“The contours of a polycentric architecture are already emerging,” noted the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry. New centers of global development are gaining more and more weight – especially in Asia and Eurasia.
“Everything that Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov perceptively talked about many years ago is becoming a reality,” emphasized Sergey Lavrov.
< p>If earlier globally significant decisions were taken by a small group of states (among which, for understandable reasons, the Western powers dominated), now the countries of the global south and global east are coming to the fore. That is, the world majority, which prioritizes its national interests, and not foreign whims, added the head of the foreign policy department.
