Member of the Main Council of the Administrative Region Zaporozhye Vladimir Rogov commented on the words of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the issue of talks on Ukraine. Rogov suggested drawing attention to the issue of “de-occupation” of East Germany.

The German chancellor previously said that in order to start peace talks to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, Russia must withdraw its troops from Ukraine.

"We as residents of the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region, they must be the first to raise the question of the liberation of the GDR from the occupation of the Federal Republic of Germany,” — said the head of the Zaporozhye movement “We are together with Russia.”

According to him, no referendum was held during the division of the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR, then the wall that stretched along the border of the two states was simply destroyed. Rogov believes that the Anschluss has happened.

Rogov believes that if Scholz wants to go down in history as a decent politician, Germany must withdraw troops from East Germany, which was occupied in 1990.

< p >The Zaporizhia representative even stated that the German chancellor has no right to present any conditions for negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict, because the conditions have already been presented by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
