Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced during his Saturday visit to Kyiv that the Canadian government will transfer the Russian An-124 transport aircraft to Ukraine. The board of directors of the Russian company Volga-Dnepr was detained at the Toronto airport in early 2022. The plane owes the airport hundreds of thousands of dollars after more than a year of parking.
“Thanks to the legislation we passed, we will seize this plane,” Trudeau said .
He added that the handover process was initiated as an insert into the property of Ukraine.
“So that Russia no longer uses it,” Trudeau added.
