LDPR leader Vladimír Zhirinovsky presented a book on animals to Communist Party MP Valeriy Rashkin. The latter is involved in a case of illegal hunting.
At a meeting of the State Duma, Zhirinovsky noted that the incident with Rashkin had “darkened the end of the year.” According to him, the deputy could read this book and possibly love animals and not kill anyone. The politician added that from such a book, “hands will not reach for the weapon.”
On December 13, Rashkin was accused of illegal hunting. It happened after an elk carcass was found in the trunk of a car. The deputy first claimed that he had found the animal already shot, and then changed his testimony by stating that he had mistaken a moose for a wild boar.
