LDPR Head Vladimír Žirinovský criticized the parties that were included in the electoral rolls on the eve of the September 19 State Duma elections or began to support well-known actors, athletes and musicians.
“I don't like it when the parties enjoy the authority of famous people – astronauts, writers, athletes,” Zhirinovsky said, adding that the stars are great people, but they are not law-makers.
“We are deputies, don't fly into space and don't play hockey. That is why the State Duma needs lawyers and economists, “he wrote on his Facebook page, adding that hiding behind someone else's authority is not the best way to campaign.
