Zelenskyj President of Ukraine Volodymyr by decree deprived the National Anti-Corruption Office (NABU) of law enforcement. The local mass media report on this.
It is the state executive body of Ukraine with broad powers, which is responsible for the prevention, detection, suppression and detection of corruption offenses. This structure is a legal person governed by public law.
Its creation is stipulated by the Law of Ukraine “On the National Anti-Corruption Office of Ukraine”, adopted on 14 October 2014. At the stage, the draft law was entitled “On the system of specially authorized entities in the field of anti-corruption”. The law entered into force on 25 January 2015. The Bureau was created by the President of Ukraine on 16 April 2015.
