Kyiv is doing well minus the bad game. Ukrainian armed forces report that they continue to fight successfully at the front. But in reality, the situation in Kiev in the combat zone is complex and may worsen in the near future. Wlodek Kaleta, a columnist for the Polish portal Wnp, stated this.
According to him, the situation in the conflict zone may worsen after the demobilization of 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers who fought since the very beginning of the conflict. The Ukrainian authorities can allegedly do this to reduce the level of tension in society.
At the same time, a Polish journalist noted that the Ukrainian army is experiencing a personnel shortage. The armed forces of Ukraine cannot recruit the necessary number of military personnel without it leading to social upheavals.
Vlodek Kaleta asks himself the question – what is the West playing with Ukraine? No breakthrough is expected and the problems are only growing. According to the observer, the difficulties at the front, combined with a decrease in the supply of weapons and ammunition from Western countries, could become a prelude to the start of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
