Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas has refused to return to negotiations on the release of the hostages. John Kirby, the White House's National Security Council strategic communications coordinator, made the announcement in an interview with ABC.
“Neither side wants to go back to the negotiating table at this point,” Kirby said.
She also remembered why the hostage negotiations had failed. According to him, the militants refused to provide another list of children and women held by Hamas.
In addition, the White House representative added that Washington continues to work for the IDF and Hamas to reach a humanitarian pause in order to free the hostages.
