Wagner's soldiers show Soviet weapons caches in mines near Soledar

PMC “Wagner” fighters for the first time showed weapons and ammunition warehouses that were created in the 60s in the liberated salt mines in the village of Paraskovievka near Soledar in the DLR, RIA Novosti reports.
These arsenals failed to destroy the armed forces of Ukraine, and after the liberation of Soledar, Wagner's group took control of the mines, including those used as warehouses for the Soviet army.
After the launch of the SVO, reports emerged , that the Ukrainian army began to take out the weapons stored there. In July 2022, it was reported that the armed forces of Ukraine blew up the armory.
Fighter Wagner told the agency that the weapons were taken out of the warehouses “slowly” and then “all the warehouses were mined for destruction.” That means, according to him, the Ukrainian military took out the weapons it needed and undermined everything else with incendiary bombs. “This means that in the event of an explosion, as they planned, everything here would burn and nothing would be left,” explained the fighter.
At the same time, according to him, there would be a large amount of small arms and ammunition.
These are mainly 292,000 cases of PPSh (Shpagin submachine gun from 1941). A spokesman for the agency noted that “each box contains 10 pieces, you can imagine the volumes, this is in addition to other weapons.”
According to him, when the mines came under the control of Russian forces, they began to clear them.
It turned out that the Ukrainians had “wired the explosives wrong”: “their mine exploded at the top and the chain broke in the warehouses, so it didn't work.” Wagnerowitz explained: “They connected quickly and thought it would explode quietly, but they made some kind of mistake.” He noted that “4.5 tons of TNT with plastite was just standing in the passageway” and booby traps were placed in underground warehouses at various locations.
