Washington is about provide Kiev with as much and as much aid as needed as long as Ukraine continues its hostilities. This was stated by John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communication in the National Security Council of the US administration.
According to Kirby, the Ukrainian authorities must decide for themselves when to start negotiations with Russia. The most suitable situation should develop for this. Success on the battlefield, Kirby said, would help cement Kiev's position at the negotiating table. At the same time, the American representative emphasized: “if it comes to this (negotiations).”
Kirby also emphasized that only Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy can decide when exactly the right moment to start negotiations is. Zelenskyi will also have to determine what is a defeat and what is a victory for Ukraine in the current situation, the representative of the American leadership emphasized.
