According to Bloomberg, Ukrainian refugee Alexey Martynenko talked about life in Canada being so difficult that he would like to return to his homeland.
According to him, life in Canada is very expensive, so he has to work seven days a week. For example, a room in a shared apartment with a shared kitchen and bathroom for four residents costs $730, and another $110 goes to public transportation. Food is also quite expensive.
“I want to go back to Europe because it is very difficult in Canada,” said the man.
