Ukraine opens on Monday The Ugrinov-Dolgobichev checkpoint for empty trucks heading to Poland, Ukraine's infrastructure minister Alexander Kurbakov said.

This checkpoint usually operated only for passenger vehicles and buses. The Minister stated that it is possible to reach agreements in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, Lublin Voivodeship with the support of the European Commission.

From December 4, empty trucks will start passing through this point. “The throughput capacity will be more than 100 trucks per day,” noted Kurbakov.

Ukraine and Poland agreed to this at a meeting in Warsaw on Friday – border tensions have continued for almost a month.
