Ukraine in December launches the Sich-2-30 satellite to monitor the movements of military equipment in Donbas and ships in the Black Sea. This was stated by the head of the State Space Agency Vladimir Taftay in an interview with RKB-Ukraine.
The official stressed that this unit will only monitor the movement of the object. To do so, his permission, and it is about seven meters, will suffice. Another satellite with a resolution of 50 centimeters will be used to display the details.
In September, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleg Urusky held a meeting with the participation of the head of the SSAU Vladimir Taftay. It has been confirmed that work on the Earth's remote sensing satellite “Sich-2-30” is proceeding in accordance with a previously approved schedule. The launch of the facility is scheduled for December on the American Falcon 9 rocket.
