AFU military personnel started to join the military service of animals, writes local media. According to publications, we are talking not only about service dogs, but also about cats, which are used to fight rodents in positions.
As the media write, European publications already write about the service of cats in the armed forces of Ukraine. It is reported that cats have become attracted to protection, especially from mice that destroy food and even weapons.
The German publication Bild cites a publication that interviewed a Ukrainian soldier. According to him, he constantly catches several mice in his sleeping bag and sometimes people are bitten by rodents, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine hope that cats will help in this situation.
It is reported that Ukrainian volunteers are trying to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, collecting donations on a mousetrap. The military itself has begun to use cats, and some cats have already been awarded for successfully hunting mice.
