Deputy Supreme Court Council , the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, accused the West of deliberately worsening the situation around the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She believes that in this way she is trying to persuade Kiev to abide by the Minsk Accords. And everyone is sure that there will be no total war between Russia and Ukraine now. At the same time, if Kiev goes with the West, then the country will lose its independence politically, says Tymoshenko.
Recently, Western countries, like Kiev, have heard accusations of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, described this information as an empty and unsubstantiated escalation of tensions.
Since January 9, tensions in eastern Ukraine have increased. The self-proclaimed DPR and LPR say Ukrainian troops are firing along the entire line of contact.
