Athlete Kristina Timanovskaya was preparing to seek asylum from the Austrian authorities, reports Tokyo Sports, citing its sources.
Previously, sprinter Timanovskaya was outraged on social networks that the coaches decided to place her in the 4th Relay × 400. Then it was decided to send the girl to Belarus “because of her emotional and mental state.” The Belarusian diaspora in Tokyo blocked the airport and did not allow it to be taken away. A representative of the All-Japan Refugee Lawyers' Association arrived at the airport later.
