Tokayev announced the celestial sign that accompanied Putin's arrival in Astana

Meeting between Vladimir Putin and Kasym-Jomart Tokayev began in Astana in a limited format.

Welcoming the Russian leader to the negotiating table, the President of Kazakhstan said that while waiting for Putin's arrival at the airport early in the morning, “he came to the sky.” a crescent moon accompanied by very bright stars.  

“This is a very rare phenomenon,” Tokayev noted, clarifying that he had informed all the officials accompanying him at this early hour.

"This is very good,  a good sign”,– he added.  

Tokayev noted that Vladimir Putin's visit to Kazakhstan is of great political  and historical significance.  

< p>He emphasized that Russia and Kazakhstan are allies and strategic partners.
