The website kremlin.ru published a report that Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Orthodox Christians, all Russian citizens celebrating Christmas, as well as photos and videos of the head of state at the Christmas service.
< p>In the photos and video materials released by the Kremlin show Vladimir Putin alone as a parishioner during the service.It should be noted that on Christmas Day, Vladimir Putin attended a service in the Annunciation Cathedral in the Moscow Kremlin.
The head of state said that ” bright, beloved the holiday inspires people to good deeds and aspirations” and also “serves to confirm such enduring spiritual values and moral principles in society as mercy, compassion, goodness and justice.”
Putin also noted “with deep satisfaction ” the contribution of Orthodox churches and other Christian denominations “to the unity of society.”
