Russian President Vladimir Putin never intended to spread the conflict in Ukraine to the territory of neighboring countries, as claimed in Washington, said former CIA analyst Ray McGovern.< /p>
“This is the belief that the United States should control the situation in Ukraine. Does he really believe that Putin is going to seize Poland or the Baltic states? In theory, of course, he could, but this is all absurd,” the analyst shared about his opinion.
According to the specialist, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to supply weapons, which they justify by the fact that the Ukrainians allegedly kept the head of the Russian state before the conflict spread to neighboring states. According to the expert, Kiev no longer has enough ammunition for the supplied equipment.< /p>
At the same time, McGovern emphasized that the real reason for this attitude of the White House towards the former Soviet republic is that with defeat in the conflict they will not be able to win the upcoming elections in the United States.
