BV In May, the United States will begin mass production of the B61-12 nuclear bomb, a modification of previous versions of the B61-3, 4, 7 and 10 missiles.

The first live bomb samples were reportedly assembled in November at an ammunition plant in Texas.
B61-12 are designed to equip strategic stealth bombers B-2 Spirit and can also be used on B-21 Raider and other developed NATO aircraft. A characteristic feature of the bomb is its tail, which increases the maneuverability and accuracy of the projectile.
According to various estimates, the United States now has 100 to 150 nuclear bombs in Europe for use by tactical aircraft – F-35A, F-15E, F- 16C/D and Tornado – US Air Force and partner countries, notes agency.
