The prosecutor asked to sentence Vladimir Kara-Murza to 25 years in prison

Lawyer Maria Eismont said that during the court debate, the prosecutor asked to sentence opposition politician Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr. (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) to 25 years in prison.
She clarified that the hearings are ongoing at the Moscow City Court in closed mode due to the “secret” stamp.
Several cases have been opened against this politician. One of them is, according to Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “Treason” after Kara-Murza's speeches at the NATO Assembly, the Helsinki Committee in Oslo and in the USA.
