Ministry of Justice public organization The fourth sector, associating freelance journalists on the list of foreign NGOs.
As former leader of the association Anastasia Sechina stated on her Facebook, the Ministry of Justice considered that the purpose of the organization was “to influence the development and implementation of state policy, decision-making authorities and the formation of public opinion.” The department then explained that there was a suspicion that the association was engaged in political activities and not journalism. Then the management of the “Fourth Sector” began the process of liquidation of the association itself.
