The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed information about the appearance of the Ukrainian UAV in the sky above the Moscow region. The Ministry published some details on its Telegram channel.
As reported by the Ministry of Defense, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to hit targets on Russian territory was stopped on September 17 around 01:45 Moscow time. A Ukrainian drone was destroyed by air defense systems in service over the territory of the Istrinsky District in the Moscow Region.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously announced the suppression of a terrorist attack by air defense forces. He specified that the drone was heading towards the capital. As the mayor noted, according to preliminary data, there was no damage at the place where the debris fell and no one was injured. Specialists of rescue services continue to work at the site.
It is also reported that the “Carpet” plan will be implemented at all Moscow airports. Dozens of flights were delayed or canceled.
