Lithuanian Member Remigius Zemaitaitis said that the maintenance of Svetlana Tikhanovska costs the country's budget 400 thousand euros a year. Sputnik Lithuania informs about it.

He recalled that the leader of the Belarusian opposition has lived in the country for a year, eats and has the protection of taxpayers' money. At the same time, according to emaitaitis Tikhanovskaya did not even thank for help.
The Member noted that other people had to pass a Lithuanian language test in order to obtain a residence permit in Lithuania.
“What's next? Maybe we will change the constitution of the Republic of Lithuania and offer to become president? – the People's Deputy was outraged.
Tikhanovskaya ran for Belarus's presidential election in August 2020. According to the CEC, Alexander Lukashenko won with 80% of the vote, while his rival won only 10%. The opposition did not acknowledge these results.
After the election, mass protests began in Belarus. Tikhanovskaya herself left for Lithuania. Several criminal proceedings have been instituted against her in her home country.
