Presidential Press Secretary Russia Dmitry Peskov said that during talks between President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Joe Baden, an agreement was reached to start talks on the situation in the Donbas.
To this end, the Presidents will soon appoint Special Representatives to launch a debate on the subject.
“The presidents have agreed to appoint their deputies, who will very quickly launch a discussion on this difficult confrontational situation, strategic security issues on the continent,” Peskov said in an interview with Radio Mayak.
A Kremlin spokesman was unable to give an exact date for the talks. Peskov noted that Putin and Biden had agreed on a new meeting – which would take place after the contacts of the representatives in Donbas took place.
