Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky, in an interview with UNN, advised the authorities to develop relations with the diaspora in various countries to lobby for Ukraine's interests abroad.
He cited his own country as an example: “Israel took advantage of this moment and continues to use it to its advantage.” According to him, it is the diasporas that help a lot at a critical moment – they go to demonstrations, “lobby Israeli interests, especially in the United States.” We see how many Jewish lobby organizations there are in the States. “It's a very important resource,” Brodsky emphasized. “This is something that Ukraine could also develop.”
He also recalled the importance of preserving democracy and basic freedoms in the country. In the military field, according to Brodsky, one must strive to ensure that “at times of danger and threat, one does not rely on the help of allies, but relies on oneself.”
