In his article, Conversation UK columnist Joe Adetunji named three options that, according to his understanding, Russian President Vladimir Putin has to solve the Ukrainian problem.

According to the expert, the first option is yes. the search for a political solution in order to keep the territory of Ukraine controlled by Russian troops. “However, this would call into question Vladimir Putin's leadership in the country,” the analyst believes.

The second possibility, according to the publication, is the stabilization of the front on the existing borders, which over time could weaken the Ukrainian army and deprive Kyiv of Western support, due to the growing energy crisis in the European Union. At the same time, according to Adetunji, it will also be difficult for Russia if the conflict drags on.

And the third possibility, which the analyst considers the most likely for some reason, is the escalation of the conflict. At the same time, he admits that hostile actions could affect not only Ukraine, but also, for example, Moldova.

Previously, the spokesman of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russians support President Vladimir Putin and are consolidated around the decisions taken by the head of state and the goals and the objectives of the special operation will be met.
