Russian aid was especially in Cuba amid a coronavirus pandemic and sanctions. This was stated by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez in an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Head of the Cuban State expressed its gratitude to the Russian Federation for its assistance. Food, medicine and medical equipment were sent to Cuba from Russia.
As Miguel Bermudez noted, the Russian-Cuban partnership is strategic in nature and is based on a long tradition of friendship between the nations of the two countries.
It will be recalled that during the talks between Putin and Bermudez, issues of further cooperation were raised, especially in the trade and economic fields. The Heads of State agreed to continue the dialogue between Russia and Cuba.
