Municipal Court in Moscow overturned the verdict of political scientist Nikolai Platoshkin, who had previously been sentenced to 5 years in prison and disseminating inaccurate information. Platoshkin was also fined 700 thousand rubles. According to the indictment, Platoshkin created and distributed videos accusing the Russian authorities of spreading coronavirus.
Today, the Moscow City Court changed the political scientist's sentence by three months: now Platoshkin will have to serve 4 years and 9 months on probation. The rest of the verdict of the court of first instance was upheld.
