The commander of the Yemeni army was among at least 100 fighters killed in the last 24 hours outside the central city of Marib, writes Aran News/
General Nasser Al-Taibani died under the command of government forces that repulsed the Houthi invasion of the strategic Al-Balak Mountains, overlooking part of the city.
“Hero General Nasser Al-Taibani was killed early Monday morning after a bullet fired by Sniper hit him in the head,” Rashad al-Mehlafi, a military official from the Yemeni Armed Forces Directorate.
He said the commander led a unit that drove Hussi out of the eastern part of the mountain.
