This formation will specialize in performing complex tasks. For now, the fighters are ready to engage in counter-terrorism activities at sea. It is emphasized that special forces may be entrusted with “politically treacherous” tasks, such as training naval forces in countries near the South China Sea to protect against Chinese intervention.
Totten noted that the unit can cooperate with the British intelligence service MI6. This is necessary to clarify Russia's and China's hostile plans.
