Detained for murder Haitian President Jovenel Moise, Haitian Americans James Solage and Joseph Vincent have named the organizer of the attack – according to the New York Times, it turned out to be a foreigner named Mike, referring to Haitian Judge Clement Noel. Participants in the attack on Moize noted that Mike spoke Spanish and English.
The Americans themselves claimed to have acted as translators during the assassination. Solage claims that he found a job as a translator for gunmen in an advertisement on the Internet. At the same time, the Americans did not disclose how much they had been paid for their work.
Previously, the media stated that, according to the confiscated detainees, their goal was not to kill Moiz, but to arrest him. At this time, 11 participants in the attack were detained, another seven were destroyed during the operation of the security forces.
Martial law is now in place in Haiti. The president's wife, Martin Moise, is injured. He is in critical condition.
