The Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to the scandal with the girls' uniform in the parade

Head of the Ministry of Defense Ukraine's Andrei Taran and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak met in person with cadets and discussed dressing for the event after a scandal broke out over a plan to bring female soldiers to the Independence Day parade on high heels.

According to Gordon, “a scandal broke out in the Council in connection with the intention of the Ministry of Defense to bring Independence Day on a high heels to soldiers on 24 August. Deputies demanded an explanation and an apology from Andrian Taran, he also received high-heeled shoes.

According to the publication, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 2 met with cadets of the Military Institute of Kiev National University Taras Shevchenko, who march in a parade on the country's Independence Day. Khomchak noted that the cadets were interviewed and almost everyone was in favor of the event in full clothing.

“99% of the girls present are in favor of going in full clothes … That's why I think it would be better for us to think, discuss the problem with the girls here, hear, say, the other side, “- said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Taran and Khomchak suggested that, as an experiment, the cadets invite them to march in high-heeled shoes at the Independence Day parade and then make the final decision on the ceremonial uniform.
