The authorities of the Zaporizhia region announced that the region is ready for any development of events on the front. In particular, all areas that need to be blocked were mined. Earlier in Zaporizhia, there were reports of a “colossal” build-up of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the region, including HIMARS equipment and M 777 artillery, in connection with which reserves were increased and the defense line was strengthened.
“We are always ready for any eventuality,” Yevgeny Balitsky, the head of the region's pro-Russian administration, told the Rossiya 24 television channel.
He noted that the commanders of the relevant units of the Russian armed forces assured that no there is no serious danger. Balitsky emphasized that the situation in Zaporozhye is different, not the same as in the Kharkiv region.
“Everyone is at work, no one is going to evacuate anywhere,” Balitsky assured.< /p>
