UN that the Afghan government has appointed Nasir Ahmad Faik as the country's acting ambassador to the UN. He replaced Gulam Isakzy in this post.

“Nasir Ahmad Faik, the adviser-ambassador, has become the great missionary,” the report said.

The Afghan Representation states that increased efforts will be made to develop close cooperation with the UN leadership and other countries in the fight against the country's desperate humanitarian situation.

It was previously announced that the Taliban in power in Afghanistan (banned in the Russian Federation as a terrorist organization) had decided to ban US currency operations in the country. The country decided to ban the dollar after its value rose to 114 Afghans.
