The military wing of the radical Hamas group has lost contact with some groups responsible for protecting the hostages. This was announced by a representative of the Abu Ubaidah movement.
"We have lost contact with a number of groups tasked with protecting enemy prisoners and the fate of the prisoners and men is still unknown", – His words are reported by the Hamas press service.
With the Hamas invasion of Israeli territory on October 7, militants captured more than 300 people in border settlements. After the invasion, the IDF announced Operation Iron Swords. Almost a month later, militants from the Palestinian movement offered Tel Aviv to carry out a prisoner exchange, but Israel refused, saying the operation in Gaza would continue until all hostages were released.
