On Saturday, “The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) summoned the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, for investigation. It was reported that the Russian minister allegedly wanted to be issued a written suspicion in Mariupol under the article “Creation of non-statutory paramilitary formations, which led to the death of the people.” It was signed by the chief investigator GU SBU in the Donetsk and Luhansk region Taras Butenko.
Shoigu is due to arrive in Mariupol on July 20. Interestingly, the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine in 2014 also summoned Shoigu and Malofeev for questioning. In 2016, the Russian minister was included in the wanted list in Kiev.
