Serbian authorities announced that they are switching to liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies from Greece.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic, supplies from Greece are planned for the autumn of next year. She also noted that the country will switch to natural gas from Azerbaijan, writes the newspaper Izvestia.
According to her, Serbia will lose its dependence on Russia. Mikhailovich clarified that the price of gas from Greece had not yet been discussed.
In early April, the presidents of Russia and Serbia preliminarily agreed to extend the contract for the supply of Russian gas until May 3 this year.
