Saakashvili named the conditions for ending the hunger strike

Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, who is in custody at the prison hospital, said he would end the hunger strike if he was taken from prison to hospital. Georgian Health Minister Ekaterina Tikaradze announced it.

According to the head of the Georgian Ministry of Health, who visited the hospital in Gori, where the ex-president can be sent, this medical facility is fully equipped with all the necessary equipment that may be required to provide Saakashvili's medical care. Before Saakashvili felt bad in prison, he was taken to a prison hospital.

The press then reported that Mikhail Saakashvili was suffering from a serious illness – Wernicke's encephalopathy caused by B1 deficiency.
