The Kommersant newspaper, referring to its own resources, reported on what retaliatory measures Russia could take in response to NATO's actions against diplomats.

Recall that it was previously known that NATO would send eight employees of the Russian mission to the alliance. They believe they are “unreported members of Russian intelligence.” Among other things, the Alliance has reduced the number of accreditations available to Moscow to ten.

The publication clarifies that in response to NATO actions, Russia will make a decision that will affect NATO's NATO liaison mission in Moscow, which operates under the auspices of the Belgian embassy.

Among other things, Russia-NATO Council meetings have not been held for more than two years, and military cooperation has been slowed down at the initiative of the Alliance since its reunification with Crimea. Reducing the number of diplomatic missions in the Alliance is therefore not essential.

Sources added that Russia could move on to closing its mission in NATO on its own. It is currently unknown whether any restrictions will be affected by the NATO Information Office in Moscow.
