Russian foot soldiers from attack teams began to use “Spider” – a portable device for detecting laser radiation. The publication Kalashnikov writes about it.
Spider is able to detect laser rangefinders, as well as illuminators and target markers that work in the wavelength range from 0.8 to 1.7 microns. The weight of the device is only 150 grams. The detector works in three modes: voice with vibrations, light with vibrations and combined.
One of the outstanding features of “Spider” is ease of use. The device is equipped with a switch lever and a button that helps adjust the signal volume.
The gadget works with two lithium-ion batteries. Operating time: up to 12 hours, temperature of use: from minus 30 to plus 40 degrees.
