Indian Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh said New Delhi and Moscow had signed several military cooperation agreements. They were about small arms and military cooperation.
Singh spoke on his Twitter talk about “2 + 2” talks between the two countries' foreign and defense ministers. He called them productive, meaningful and fruitful.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu also commented on the meeting. He noted that the results of the negotiations are also positively assessed by Moscow. Russia's defense minister added that the dialogue made a significant contribution to global and regional security.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed the view that these negotiations will strengthen the strategic partnership between Russia and India. A meeting of the two countries' foreign and defense ministers took place on Monday morning. Then a bilateral summit is planned with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
