In Nicosia about 2.5 thousand Opponents of measures to combat coronaviruses took part in riots near the building of the Cypriot television channel Sigma TV. The media described the incident as a “cowardly attack”.
It should be noted that the incident took place on the evening of 18 July. The protesters waited for several cars and began to crash into the windows. Vandals destroyed furniture in the hall on the first floor of the editorial office. However, none of the journalists were injured.
Earlier, protesters gathered near the presidential palace to express opposition to the introduction of so-called security certificates containing COVID-19 and mandatory vaccinations.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 91,000 cases of infection have been identified in Cyprus. Of these, 384 people died.
